Return & Refund Policy
Because of the customized nature of our work, our return and refund policy differs from that of a traditional retail store.
Programming, Cloning & Other Services
All completed programming, cloning, coding, unlocking, data transfer, module repair, diagnostic, and other electronic services are non-refundable once work has begun or has been completed.
If Bavarian Bytes is unable to perform the service originally agreed upon, we will work with the customer to determine an appropriate resolution, which may include a refund of the applicable service charge.
A change of mind, incorrect diagnosis, vehicle-related issue outside the serviced module, or a customer deciding they no longer need the completed service does not qualify for a refund.
Customer-Supplied Modules & Parts
Customers are responsible for supplying the correct module or component when providing their own parts.
Bavarian Bytes is not responsible for pre-existing defects, internal damage, corrosion, previous repairs, modified software, incorrect part numbers, shipping damage, or other conditions present in customer-supplied components.
Service charges are not refundable solely because a customer-supplied component is later determined to be defective or unsuitable for the vehicle.
Modules or Parts Supplied by Bavarian Bytes
Modules or components that have been programmed, cloned, coded, configured, opened, installed, or otherwise customized for a specific vehicle are final sale and non-returnable, except where the item is determined to be defective and covered by an applicable warranty.
Unused, unprogrammed parts supplied by Bavarian Bytes may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery, provided they are in the same condition in which they were supplied. Prior authorization is required before returning any item.
Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is the result of an error by Bavarian Bytes.
Incorrectly Ordered or Unneeded Items
Customers are responsible for confirming compatibility and providing accurate vehicle and module information.
Customized or programmed items cannot be returned because the customer ordered the incorrect item, provided incorrect vehicle information, no longer needs the item, or later determines that another component caused the vehicle's original problem.
Warranty-Related Issues
If you believe a product or service provided by Bavarian Bytes has failed, please contact us before purchasing or installing another replacement.
We may request diagnostic information and/or require the serviced module or supplied component to be returned for inspection.
Warranty coverage applies only to the product or workmanship provided by Bavarian Bytes and does not cover unrelated vehicle faults, improper installation, external electrical damage, water intrusion, physical damage, tampering, or subsequent modification.
A warranty claim does not automatically constitute authorization for a refund. Bavarian Bytes may, where appropriate, repair, reprogram, replace, or refund the affected product or service.
Shipping
Customers are responsible for securely packaging modules sent to Bavarian Bytes.
Bavarian Bytes is not responsible for loss or damage occurring while a shipment is in transit to us. Any shipping damage should be addressed with the applicable carrier.
Return shipping charges are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed or the return is due to an error by Bavarian Bytes.
Return Authorization
Do not send a return without contacting Bavarian Bytes first.
Returns must be authorized before shipment. Unauthorized returns may be refused or returned to the sender.
To request assistance with a return, warranty claim, or service concern, contact Bavarian Bytes by phone, text, or email with your invoice number and a description of the issue.
This policy does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
